After completing my studies in hairdressing at Potchefstroom Academy, I worked in various upmarket salons, including Partners Hair Design and Joie De Vie in Somerset West. Now I am the proud owner of LilyBlush Hair and Make-up Studio in Harfield Village Kenilworth.
I completed a make-up course through Head to Toe in Gardens, Cape Town and then fell in love with make-up artistry. Hair and make-up truly compliments each other so being able to do both make my job even more fun.
Exploring new hairstyles and looks is one of my hobbies. I LOVE playing with hair. Hair is the one thing about ourselves that we can change regularly and experiment with because it grows back!
I’m very friendly and a down to earth person and usually have a smile on my face. I would describe my make-up style as laid back and natural, but cheeky and dramatic can also be done on request! Although what I do makes someone beautiful on the outside, I do believe that a beautiful heart is what really makes us beautiful. Therefore I’m a big fan of natural makeup that enhances a woman’s natural features rather than using makeup to change what someone looks like.
I am a real bookworm and will usually be reading up to five different books at a time!
I’m a nature lover too, taking my beloved dog, Oreo for daily walks in Newlands forest, Keurboom Park or to the beach.
I’m married to a wonderful man with whom I’m still in love after many years together. We met as students in Potchefstroom and love living in the beautiful city of Cape Town and intend staying a while.
